Millennium Marketing Group wins three Communicator Awards
(OVERLAND PARK, KAN.) May 7, 2004—Millennium Marketing Group, Ltd., an international advertising agency and marketing consulting firm, in April received the top award in the print media category from The Communicator Awards 2004 competition in Arlington, Texas.
“Private-Door™,” an automatic door operator system that assists in the opening of doors for the handicapped and elderly, won the Crystal Award of Excellence in the brochure/prospectus category. Based in Arlington, The Communicator Awards is an international awards competition founded by communication professionals to recognize excellence in communication. According to The Communicator Awards, MMG took top honors out of nearly 4,000 entries in the print media category. “Entries are judged by industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry,” The Communicator Awards stated.
Scott Norman, MMG president and founder, said, “I’m pleased by the advancements made in such a short time within our business development division. Since our inception in 1998, we have become a leading player within our industry. Our winning top honors with this project and being recognized with two second-place awards is a testimony to the dedication to excellence by our staff.”
MMG also received an award of distinction in the brochure/prospectus category for “Winged Water Walker™,” footgear that allows the wearer to emulate running motion in water for physical training and endurance. Less than 2 percent of the entries won the distinction award, which recognizes projects that exceed industry standards in communicating a message or idea.
In addition, Millennium Medical Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of MMG, received an award of distinction in the writing/technical category for “Osteoinductal®,” an osteogenetic bone (graft) substitute/void filler for dental, periodontal, oral, and maxillofacial procedures. More than 20 percent of MMG’s technologies are managed by Millennium Medical Group, which guides proprietary medical technologies through regulatory processes, manages the sales and marketing efforts and, ultimately, acts as the liaison between its clients and large medical companies such as Johnson & Johnson and Brown Medical and Straumann International.
The three winning projects of Overland Park-based MMG involve newly patented technologies available for licensing by manufacturers and distributors. MMG works with corporations, universities and research firms as the sales and management team. In the development of new products, Norman said, MMG focuses on technology transfer and venture-based licensing agreements with third parties. |
